UPDATED! MAN ABANDONED HIS GIRLFRIEND AND 2 CHILDREN IN THE DARK KNIGHT THEATER DURING SHOOTING - SAVED BY 19 YEAR OLD JARELL BROOKS!
I am sure we have all been covering the Dark Knight shooting
to some degree. I keep seeing this couple on TV doing interviews. Yeah, those
two idiots who brought a 4 year old and 4 month old to a midnight screening of
the Dark Knight. What they are not saying in the many interviews they are doing is that the BABY
DADDY left his girlfriend and both children in the theater with the shooter
while he ran out to safety. How did she manage to get out? A superior gentlemen
named Jarell Brooks. At just 19 he manned up and protected the woman and her
children while getting them to safety. GETTING SHOT in the process. Later that
night, in the hospital BABY DADDY proposed to the girlfriend. SHE SAID YES! Can
you believe it? These two idiots deserve each other. He left you and your kids
for dead, sweetie. Get a clue. You are perhaps the biggest fool I have seen in years. People like this should not be allowed to procreate.

ReplyDeleteEven if it is nice to honor a hero, you have no right to judge someone for their actions in such a situation. Have you ever had a gun pointed on you? Do you have any idea how you would react? It's called fight or flight - and everyone reacts differently, and you CANNOT know how you'd react unless placed in a horrible situation of danger. Please don't judge this man too harshly, or this woman. This just seems incredibly immature and ignorant to me. I'm glad all of them survived something they should have never experienced.

But foryou to call the woman and man names shame on you. yea this young man is a hero. But dont talk shit on these people when the real idiot is the shooter thats the person whos brain dead.!
ReplyDeleteI am not God. I will not be the judge of "Runaway Dad". Just like others have their right to their own opinion and so do I. Your right, I have not been tested in such a way. That said, I can say that I would rather die with my family rather then leave them to die alone. What I think is most telling about this story is not how stupid I think they are but that a total stranger took a bullet for this family while the father/boyfriend ran outside. TO ANONYMOUS 4 month olds dont belong in a theater, period. They cant enjoy a kids movie and they should be asleep at HOME during a midnight screening. I cant even believe the baby was allowed in.

When ur a parent especially, u protect ur child, that's ur first instinct... Oh n I have been in a situation like this, so don't come at me w that... ReplyDeletethe reason GOD CREATES people with the moral fibers of Jarell is because HE knows people like the dad exist. It is his way of making sure what is right gets done.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous #2 - I agree. Even if his first instinct was to flee, at no point did he consider turning back to save his family? No, he waited outside while his family was inside. No excuse for that.
ReplyDeleteLil Brown Jime - Thank god for Jarell! If he was not there I am pretty sure that whole family (not the father) would be dead. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, I guess it rings true in this case.
I also agree with anonymous #2. I was horrified to hear these people on CNN. I thought this guy should not be going on prime TV and telling the world what an Ass of a man he is. As a father or parent your first and only instinct should be on the protection of your child. He described his difficult decision to whether jump the balcony and escape but torn whether the baby would make the jump with him. So he said his placed the baby on the ground and then we hear he got out and then DROVE away to a place of safety and then called to see if his girlfriend and children made it. Are you serious? This is a terrible story when there were so many stories of heroism. This guy should be hiding under a rock and not on national TV showing the world what kind of man he is not. If a stranger can help a woman and children in the face of gun fire and danger then surely this man if he is a good man should have thought of his family and not himself! But he didn't and a stranger did think of his family. I too am In awe of this woman. Lady you got an opportunity not many get to see the character of a man you chose and this guy is a bad seed with no character. Take your opportunity to see him for who he is and run!
