Influenster Review: Just Say No
In the past I was apart of Influenster - a sampling program, before any real big companies used them. It was fun, something to do in your free time. Then I stopped for several years. Reason being, they wanted far too much for what you got in return. Time is money (please, value your time.🙏). Cut to the past two years, I rejoined. Had several campaigns go on without a hitch and then it flipped. Here are several issues I had with Influenster:
-Joined a Josh Cellars cash back wine campaign and was NEVER reimbursed. Josh Cellars wine also didn’t care when contacted that I was never reimbursed. They then opted to ignore my message. Plus, the wine sucked. 🤷🏽♀️•Still owed about $24.
-Joined a Land O’ Lakes cash back butter campaign SOLEY because they offer an extra $7 incentive on top of the reimbursement. Never received this extra promised incentive. I still have the proof of this in emails. Land O’ Lakes also didn’t care. Influenster couldn’t even explain why, just said they sent my email to the appropriate dept before ignoring my messages. •Still owed $7.
-Joined a EOS cash back campaign. I had to fight for my life to get reimbursed for this campaign. They only gave me a partial amount at first and then sent a second payment that still wasn’t paid in full but not a huge amount. •Still owed less than $1.
-Joined an Urban Decay Anti Bullying Campaign where you read some modules then posted a positive anti bullying message on Instagram and in exchange they would send you a setting spray. I completed the campaign and got the badge for it. A couple months later I realized I never got it. So I went to an Influenster group online and asked about it. There were so many women who completed this campaign and received NOTHING. •Still owed a setting spray with a value of $36. **I recently contacted both Urban Decay and Influenster and I will make a final update when I have one.**
It hurts my heart to hear that TryIt (an awesome sampling program!) is partnering with this less than honorable company Influenster. They don’t care about their influencers and they don’t pay them what they have contractually agreed to. It’s illegal. I am tempted to contact the FTC about it. At least they could pay a fine for this unethical behavior. What is the word that legally defines non payment for services received? 🤔 We all know it. Thoughts?

*This is just my personal experience. Yes, I have receipts for everything I’ve talked about here.*
